Safeguarding

Safeguarding

CrewTrident fully recognises the responsibility education settings have under Section 157 of the Education Act 2002 to have arrangements in place to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Given the nature of the direct work the Company undertakes, and that much of this is delivered within schools, we have elected to adopt this same responsibility. This responsibility is more fully explained in the statutory guidance for schools and colleges ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (September 2021).

As professionals our practice is subject to a range of legal responsibilities and our policies and practice are reviewed regularly. To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all, these include:

  • Keeping Children Safe in Education 2021

  • Guidance for Safer Working Practice 2019

  • Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018

  • Information Sharing: advice for practitioners providing safeguarding services to children, young people, parents and carers 2018

  • Effective Support for Children and Families 2018

  • Data Protection Act 2018 (GDPR)

  • Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

  • CrewTrident Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy 2021/22

  • CrewTrident Professional Values and Practice Standards 2021/22
